Your excursion can include beautiful Te Mata Peak ...
|
A scenic excursion to Hawkes Bay's highest point, beautiful Te Mata Peak.
Te Mata Park is part of the land associated with the ancestor Te Rehunga of Ngāti Ngarengare, a sub-tribe of Ngāti Kahungunu. The land that makes up Te Mata Park was purchased in 1862 by early settler, John Chambers. In 1927, as a memorial to their father, his sons gifted a 242 acre reserve including Te Mata Peak, to the people of Hawke’s Bay in perpetuity. Perfect for great photo opportunities! |
... or New Zealand's oldest winery

... and how about Napier's Art Deco City?
|
Napier was totally destroyed by the Hawkes Bay Earthquake in 1931, then completely rebuilt in the Art Deco style.
Cruise the city and surrounds to see where it all happened and hear the story of Napiers founding, destruction and subsequent rebirth from your own private driver/guide. Tour the Art Deco City, Bluff Hill, Clive Square, the historic fishing village of Ahuriri and more. |
